    Who should under go a mammography?

      The recommendation is that women beginning at the age of 40 should under go a mammography once a year.  If you're at high risk for breast cancer, with a strong family history of breast or ovarian cancer, or have had radiation treatment to the chest in the past.  It's recommended that you start having annual mammograms at a younger age (often beginning around age 30).

    What is mammography?

   Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system to examine breasts.  A mammogram exam, called a mammography, is used to aid in the diagnosis of breast diseases in women.
